In bodies/BODIES, Kelechi Amadi-Obi transforms the human body into a metaphor of deep emotional complexity. He deployes the body to reflect the sorts of experiences Nigerians are undergoing in these difficult economic times. Amadi-Obi forces to attention the range of emotions individuals experience: deep frustration, agony, torment, listlessness, despair, and acquiescence. The poses of people speak about their life and their responses to it. It speaks too about their inner beauty and the outer ugliness they encounter.
