NEW CULTURE

Prologue;
I stood up and sang the Song I was given
pledging my loyalty and faithfulness…
When I asked for a cultural song
I was asked to look in the streets
"the song is on the lips of every Folk
in the commonplace"
and as they wait,
time breaks the barriers
of tribe and tongue
bringing them all under one umbrella
-of a people united
by a particular song-
which was brought about
by an induced culture..
created by ourselves
in our own ignorant loyalty.
It is an absolutely New Culture...

I have a new culture
Look into my face and you'll see
In its numerous contours
Wounds that time cannot heal

Dance is still a part of it
But unlike the old culture
One drum alone calls the beat
Except your time is the future
