Born in 1973, Nkechi Nwosu-Igbo graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1997 with a major in painting. Her art is marked by an unusual and disarming flatness of colors, lines, a dominantly earthen palette. She utilizes the motifs of Uli and Nsibidi art as cryptic vehicles for fashioning her messages.

I have been developing ideas for a series of work titled The Hiatus. Some of the work I will be showing in hybrid will be from this series. Some of the titles are: What is your Attitude 'Cos Attitude is Everything? and Daughters Like Myself.

Nwosu-Igbo lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria.
